Scanning that actually reads, and marking on the work itself.

Scanned pages are read with a far better QR decoder, at the scanner's own resolution. On two real exam scans, pages correctly matched to a student went from 28 of 68 to 67 of 68.
Indexing a scan is about four times faster.
The manual recovery dialog stays for genuinely damaged codes, like one a student had drawn over.

Pen, an eraser that removes whole strokes, and strokes you can pick up and move.
Type text boxes straight onto the page instead of through a popup.
Hold Shift while moving to drag every annotation at once.
Copy and paste annotations from one student to the next.
Pop the student-work panel out into its own window for a second screen.
Annotating a question counts it as attended and marked.

Topics are first-class: tag any assessment, colour-coded, driving both the Assessment Overview filter and Reports.
One configurable colour formula across the grids, with 0% given its own darker red so a blank stands out from a bad attempt.
Type homework marks straight into a student's marks list, or import a results CSV with automatic column detection and name matching.
Export the Assessment Overview exactly as it appears on screen.
Delete an assessment from the Assessments cards, one class or all of them at once.
Reports: “LP as last resort” is now labelled as the different formula it is, and a second option applies it only to the cells that came out LP.

An in-app file browser replaces the Windows dialog for marking sessions: qmark's own Quick Access, per-folder icons, drag to move, copy and paste between locations.
Print: per-element font sizes with the selected element highlighted, and an adjustable print delay.
The work folder is assigned automatically after a scan.
